Horse Shoe Gang – 6’7″ [Smu Mix]

I’m back with another treat for y’all! I actually made this mix for my homegirl Cali_Honey (shout out to you boo!) but then i thought since Crooked I’s Brothers deserve some shine and just dropped off this overly dope Firing Squad LP (Support that shit!) i thought this mix comes in quite handy.

Y’all probably heard this Beat a million of times by a few different Rappers but i took all the dope versions of this.
You can see/hear the Horse Shoe Gang trading bars with Kendrick Lamar,Schoolboy Q and Cory Gunz (the son of Rapper Peter Gunz).
The Beat is produced by Bangladesh who was also responsible for the “A Milli” Madness a couple of years ago.

John Legend – Rolling In The Deep [Smu Blend] (Adele Cover)

This time I’m back on my Soul/RnB Tip. John Legend dropped off his acapella Version of Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep”
Since it didn’t have a beat at all i thought i take the instrumental and blend it over the acapella.

Enjoy this great Song. If you don’t like this version i suggest you go buy the original!

Please Note:I listened to the original very close and placed John’s Vocals mostly on point where Adele was singing too.Just in case y’all say i wasn’t on beat and stuff.

DJ Premier Featuring Masta Ace & more – Sing Like Bilal Freestyle (2008)

Yes,Yes! This is kinda like the O.G. Version of DJ Premier’s “Sing Like Bilal” Instrumental, before it was then handed to Joell Ortiz for his Free Agent Album.

The Radio Freestyle features Masta Ace,Craig G,A.G.,Emilio Rojas,Ill Bill and Apathy

If you’re a Fan of lyrical Hip Hop this will be dope for you if you’re not that much into lyrical Hip Hop you may still want to check it out because it’s too dope!

Crooked I Featuring Kanye West – Live Fast,Die Young [Smu Mix]

This time it’s some new shit from Crooked I! Due to his Album being pushed back for a few weeks/months.So he released the “Million Dollar Story EP” yesterday with his first single “Everyday” to make the waiting time for his LP shorter(click the EP Name to purchase). Speaking of Crooked his Brothers from the Horse Shoe Gang also released their Album “Firing Squad” on itunes too make sure you go cop that too! Ill shit!

But that’s not all! He decided to rap over the Rick Ross and Kanye collabo “Live Fast,Die Young” and is straight murdering it! At least us fans can’t complain about that much dope music dropping from the C.O.B. Camp!

I kept Yeezy’s Verse intact and Ross on the Hook. The Song is produced by Kanye West!

Shoutout to Take Flight,Iceman,Annuaki aka Carelezz,J.Remy,The Horse Shoe Gang and the Rest of the C.O.B. Camp!

Pusha T – Fear Of God The Smu Mixes

Pusha T’s Fear of God Mixtape is out and i found some tracks that were good for a Smu Mix Treatment.
Here are 3 Tracks that i decided to mix up of this project. Maybe more will come but i’ll doubt it.

The first Joint is an old Kanye leftover called Touch It which Features The Bad Seed aka N***alis Cage (Name Censored for obvious reasons) and Mims.Kanye on the Hook. Produced by Kanye
Download: Pusha T,The Bad Seed,Mims & Kanye West – Touch It [Smu Mix]

Joint Number 2 is an Old Tha Carter 2 Track produced by the Runners and was originally used by Lil Wayne.
Download: Pusha T Featuring Lil Wayne – Money On My Mind [Smu Mix]

Joint Number 3 is actually a leftover from Pusha’s Mixtape that didn’t make the final cut. But since I thought this was doper than some of the other Tracks on the tape it’s just fair to add this too. Produced by Kanye also appeared on Ye’s last Album without Pusha. So consider this a Remix or a Final Version, whatever you prefer.
Bonus: Kanye West Featuring Pusha T & Bon Iver – Lost In The World [Smu Mix]

Something Different: DJ Premier responds to Canibus’ Diss Record

Y’all probably heard about this if you read the blogs or online magazines or however you call them…Canibus got at DJ Premier on a Track called “Tell The Truth/Monster” for a statement he made about ‘bis on VladTV. He basically told DJ Vlad that Canibus was his “most complicated client” because he turned down a Beat called Devil’s Pie (that was then handed to D’Angelo) back in 1997. A Day after the Record Canibus released a Statement towards Premo too,but I’m not going to get any deeper into that.
2 days after the Diss Track and Letter,DJ Premier responds in his sort of way by starting it off with Just-Ice’ and KRS-One collabo joint called “Blah,Blah,Blah” and then after about 6 minutes he goes deeper in the situation and explained what he was saying on Vlad TV and gives his opinion on  the stuff he said to Premo on the Record.

His ending words to Canibus (before he went back to the Music):

“Canibus, calm down i still love u brother and let’s not take it past that, because i don’t want to take it to the level of doing a record that’ll outdo yours ’cause it would be the funkiest thing since Dogshit”

I wonder how long this will go because i personally think Canibus was a bit uber-sensitive about that statement. But that’s all I’m going to say about it…
Listen for yourself if you want to hear more from Premo himself (the talking bit should start around the 5:30 mark)

Rest In Peace Nate Dogg (Open Letter)

R.I.P. Nathaniel Dwayne Hale (August 19, 1969 – March 15, 2011)

When i woke up this morning i saw people talking about Nate Dogg’s Death.Of course i first thought it was a sick joke that somebody made up (You know what the internet is like these days). But when i read further on i saw Snoop Dogg talking about it too so i knew it was serious.

The sad thing is we lost another great Hip Hop/Singer Artist way too early.
When News came out that he suffered from 2 strokes in the last 3-4 years my hopes – that he’d ever made a comeback to the music bizz – were kinda gone from one moment to the next.

The great thing about Nate Dogg was his unique Voice that made every hook that he sung/rapped unique in any way.

He was involved in so many records from Dr.Dre’s “The Chronic” to Mobb Deep’s last LP on G-Unit Records and so many more,so it was fair that the fans called him “the real Captain Hook” because he was THE hook man in Hip Hop.

I grew up with his music so it’s kinda hard to realise that he’s gone….
From a positive note though: We never know how much pain he was suffering from after those 2 strokes,so maybe it’s good for himself, his close friends and family that he doesn’t have to suffer no more.

My condolences go to his Family,Warren G,Snoop Dogg,The DPG and many other people who were very close to this man.

Nate,Rest in Peace! Your Voice and your Music won’t be forgotten to me.Even though i’d loved to see you on some sort of a “Next Episode” Record on Detox maybe.

Emilio Rojas & XV Featuring Skylar Grey – Words I Never Said [Smu Mix]

Fresh of dropping his “Life Without Shame” Mixtape with Green Lantern,Emilio Rojas decided to take on Lupe Fiasco’s controversial (but dope) “Words I Never Said” to send Love to the people in Japan and to speak on other stuff aswell.
For the Smu mix he get’s joined to by XV aka Vizzy who also blasts off with his own rant on this record so be sure to hear some real talk on it.
Mrs. Skylar Grey is on the hook like on the original.
